Gary V. Powell is the author of several stories published in print and online literary journals.
"Boat to Build," was a finalist in the Briar Cliff Review 2006 Fiction contest and was published in the spring 2007 edition.
"Homecoming," won third prize in SEAK's 2007 Legal Fiction Contest and appeared in the spring 2009 moonShine Review.
"Miller's Deer" was selected as runner up for the 2007 Thomas Wolfe Fiction Prize and appeared in the 2008 edition of the Thomas Wolfe Review.
"Red on Red," was a finalist in Cutthroat's 2008 Rick Demarinis Fiction Competitiion.
He's currently at work on the novel, Lucky Bastard, which involves his characters Harley and Jim from his earlier stories "Delivering the Goods" and "Boat to Build."
A native of Elkhart, Indiana and a graduate of Indiana University and Indiana University School of Law, Mr. Powell currently resides with his family in Cornelius, North Carolina, near beautiful Lake Norman.
