I am an eight-year old boy. My hobby is collecting toy army men. I'm going to write about my adventures with friends and my toy weapons. I'll also add entries about my two dogs, Indy and Annie.

Back with the Handspring

I go to gymnastics at Acrofitness. It's a cool place. I got my back handspring there and my round-off back handspring there all by myself.

I'm only eight and my dad was thirteen before he could do a back handspring.

I'm working on my back tuck. If I get it, I can go to Elite Tumbling. I will have it in March.

This is a really cool website.

Connor

This is the poem I wrote for my homework assignment to write a poem about friendship. Connor is my neighbor.

We're friends, some times.
We're friends when he's not taking my toys.
We're friends when he's not double-dog daring me.
We're friends when he's not ding-dong-ditchin.'
We're friends when he's not getting me in trouble.
We're friends when he's not crashing into my bike.
We're friends when he's not name calling me.
We're friends when we're friends.
The End
(We only had to write 8 lines).

Stripes of Honor

The Halls of Montezuma and the blood-washed beaches of the Pacific Islands gave proof to America that we had won the Pacific War against the Japanese.

Colonel Doolittle led the airstrikes against the Japanese. And he helped decode the Japanese messages at Midway.

I think the US pilots and bombers at Midway could have done better by leaving one Japanese ship behind and not sinking it.

The Americans had freed the Phillipino people of the islands and got back Wake Island .

The Amerians did a terrific job of cleaning out the Japanesse at the Islands.

I like Tanks

A Sherman is my favorite tank. It's from WWII. It's named after William Tecumseh Sherman, a famous general from the Civil War.

It was a 70mm gun, one coaxial 7.62mm machine gun, and a 12.7mm anti-aircraft gun turett. It carries a crew of five. It runs on twin GM diesel engines.

It helped the Allies win WWII.
